Dear Carmen & Jim:

Jim called me last week to tell me you were in Strong Memorial. I had not heard you were so ill. But I told Jim you have a very strong faith and you always have been a strong person. We are all saying prayers for you. I spoke with Jerry last night. We are going to try and visit you this Wed., I just need Jim or someone to send us some directions to the hospital.

Carmen stay strong as I know you are.

You still out there Ron?
We were all a little concerned with you praying the rosary and all,
but I see you managed to slip the two steps forward one step backward in
so we couldn't have lost you totally.
I just wanted to let you know were still following your updates on the website.
I reiterate that we are all thinking of you and your mother at this time,
it must be difficult to be engaged in such protracted struggle for ones very life.
Give our best to your mother.
Hope to hear more good news in the coming days.
Its nice to hear they finally have her closed up this should start to reduce the risks of infection.
We don't do much praying around here as you know
but our thoughts and best wishes are with you all.

Doug.

Dear Jim and to Carmen's Family,
We want you to know that our thoughts and prayers have been with you this past week also.
My father, Jim's cousin Duane Mosure in Illinois, told us of Carmen's condition.
Being physicians we know too well how serious her condition is.
We are sure she is receiving the very best care and will continue to pray for her recovery.
We had a wonderful visit with Carmen and Jim here in Seattle over Labor Day weekend
and found it a curious coincidence that a donor liver was found near here for her.
We are glad that Carmen received the transplant
and although the future may hold many challenges for her
we know that she has the determination, faith and support to face them.
Thank you for arranging the web site for updates,
we will continue our prayers for Carmen and her family.
God bless....

Tom and Amy Numrych

To dear Carmen:

We are praying hard to the loving, compassionate Sacred Heart of Jesus,
and for the intercession of Our Mother of Perpetual Help
to give you strength and full recovery.
Have courage and faith.
We are looking forward to the day when we will see you again
in good health on your next visit to Manila.

Love from Uncle Vince (Tio Ents) and Auntie Tita (Tia Tita).

To Our Dear Carmen,

May our good Lord watch over you and
may He give you the strength to fight and
the determination to win this battle.

With loving thoughts and prayers,

MARS,  PATTY (FAUSTINO), & MARTY CEBRERO

From the time we first heard Carmen was rejoining Our Lord in seven days, we have prayed unceasingly. Angela and I have prayed three mysteries of the rosary every night on top of our usual evening prayers. We have spoken with the Lord every waking moment: "Lord, it is your will Carmen lives. She is in your hands. Please continue to sustain her." Over and over, every spare moment. From the start we have also been lobbying two powerful agents that have Our Lord's ear, Mother Mary and Padre Pio. Carmen has been devoted to Our Mother all her life, and she is surely interceding for Carmen. Padre Pio has been known to appear many times after his death, to effect miraculous recoveries of people who would have died.

Prayers are powerful. In 1998 I read a feature story on the Duke Medical Health System in North Carolina, one of America's most advanced community health system. One of their continuing "clinical trials and studies" was to determine why it was that patients being prayed over tended to survive longer, recover faster and heal better than others. They found evidence that patients prayed over truly enjoyed the benefits of better recovery and healing, EVEN THOUGH THEY DID NOT KNOW THEY WERE BEING PRAYED OVER.

Our Lord is listening to our prayers. He truly values Carmen, as much as we do. We would love to hear again Carmen's nonstop chitter chatter, telling us how careless Jim is about his health, about her journey with the new recreation vehicle, how much she loves her grand twins, how hopeless is her eldest son about marriage, and myriad other things she can talk about. We love you, Carmen dearest, hold on so we can tell you in person.

Hi Ron:  Glad to hear of the recovery news! Things seem to be looking up. You are in my thoughts. The website is a great idea. Being Internet wired ain't all that bad. This way we all know what's going on and what's more, can send along our thoughts and support to you.

Take care!!! Shyla

Carmen, although we can not be physically at your bedside, we are definitely with you in spirit. We are so relieved to hear of all of your progress, keep fighting! You are in our hearts and thoughts and we will keep praying for you until you can tell us yourself that it is no longer necessary. We love you,

Lara and Gilles.

From Rommel over the phone:

"You know how you can have many heroes your life?  I know it sounds corny, but I just found a new one...my Mom."

Hoping the very best and speedy recovery for Carmen. Praying that everything will be okay. Our sincerest regards to the family,

Isabel and Brook Boley (daughter and son-in-law of Vince & Tita Faustino)
